The Sydney North Public Schools Bands Program (SNPS Bands) plays a major role in staged concerts and events held at prestigious venues, including the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Town Hall. 

Students perform at the highest level achieving an outstanding level of performance, musicianship and technique.   

SNPS Bands offers three exceptional ensembles that students can audition for:
  • CONCERT BAND - Intermediate level - AMEB Grade 2+ - Conducted by Lemin Luu​
  • SYMPHONIC BAND - Senior level - AMEB Grade 4+ - Conducted by Lemin Luu
  • JAZZ ENSEMBLE - Intermediate level - AMEB Grade 3+ - Conducted by Tim Collins​

All weekly SNPS Bands instrumental ensembles rehearse at Belrose Public School. 

​Membership of the Sydney North PS Band Program is considered an extension of student participation in school band programs. It is an expectation of membership of the SNPS that students remain a committed member of any music ensemble programs currently operating at their school whilst they are participating in the SNPS Bands. Students act as representatives of their school in this regional extension program.
